Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between search, recovery and rescue costs?
Search costs arise when a missing person has to be located. Recovery means freeing a person from a hazardous area and bringing them to safety. Rescue includes the medically necessary immediate measures and transport to the nearest suitable hospital.
Under SOS144, SOS144 Pro and SOS144 Max, necessary search and rescue costs are covered up to CHF 30,000 per person. Transfer to the nearest suitable hospital is covered without limit.
