Frequently asked questions

Are events that were already known or foreseeable when the policy was taken out covered?

No. Events that had already occurred or were foreseeable when the policy was taken out are generally not covered. This also applies if the actual loss occurs only later.

For chronic illnesses, an unforeseeable severe acute deterioration may be covered if the GCI requirements are met and the trip was not in question when the insurance was taken out, when the booking was made or when the trip started.
