When does my insurance cover start?
Your cover starts at the time stated in the policy or in the contract documents. Benefits can only be claimed for events that occur after the cover has started and that had neither occurred nor were foreseeable at that point.
If you only take out insurance after your trip has already started, a waiting period of 24 hours applies to all benefits.
